Mid service but a great homemade lemonade. Playing awesome gilded age vibes music but there’s only one large table reserved for those who are just getting a drink

Large space with many tables, great cozy atmosphere. Large cappuccinos and pastries were delicious

I'm not even sure where to begin but, certainly, food and atmosphere are great: rustic and consistently fresh. But I had an experience there that I'm still processing. I had left my invisalign retainer wrapped in a dirty napkin on the table the other day. Even worse, the invisalign is as advertised, clear plastic. I ran back to get it and when I arrived they said that they had already changed out the trash. My heart sank. I asked them to please check their trash anyway and they did. They spent about 15 minutes rummaging through the trash trying to find some invisible retainers. They couldn't find them but I was glad that they took the time to check. About 3 hours later, I got a message from my friend who I had lunch with there. I don't exactly know how they got into contact with him. But someone reached out and told my friend that they had found my retainer! Someone actually went through the trash again, found my retainer, searched for my friend's contact (I think they ended up googling her name, the wife, because she owned a business and sent her an obscure dm.) Those retainers are hella-expensive! Not to mention, I was going to lose half the day just going to the dentist in an emergency appointment. And, like, who does that?? Who goes through the trash again even though it seemed like it was simply sitting in a dumpster when they had changed out their trash. Like, why do that?? I couldn't believe it. It really made me think about things. So, God bless that person. God bless that place. Thank you thank you thank you.

Walking into this restaurant felt like stepping into a cozy little French bistro with its inviting atmosphere. The kind of place where you half expect a charming server to recommend the perfect wine pairing in a thick Parisian accent. That was not the case. Instead, our server seemed to be in the middle of an existential crisis. Taking our order felt like a chore, listening was optional, and waters arrived sometime around dessert (or at least that’s how it felt). But then—the food arrived. Fresh, fast, and absolutely delicious. The kind of meal that makes you forget minor inconveniences like thirst. So, despite the service feeling like an afterthought, I still loved the place. I’ll be back, hopefully to a slightly cheerier server, but either way, I’ll just bring my own water bottle next time.

We went to this cafe twice, during our stay in New York. On our first visit everything was wonderful. The server was attentive polite and helpful. She was organising and even though it was busy she was on the ball. The food was great. This what made us go back…. I can’t say our second visit was the same, I had the same dish that I ordered the first time and it tasted awful, the hot drinks were lukewarm and the server was running around like a headless chicken. We waited quite some time for her at the start to take our order, or in fact to bring a menu! She was amused by the faceted that we waited so long quietly!!

Rustic feeling cafe has clearly labeled menu with calories. The vibe was good. I ordered a sunny side breakfast bowl. It was good. The menu said it comes with a side of their artisanal bread but they didn’t give me. They provided when I asked for it. They also asked me not to take pictures of the interior of cafe.

First time to Le Pain Quotidien, I was told each location is a bit different. What I liked about this location in the Columbus Circle area was it was just in a bit off the main street and not as loud or busy as a few other coffee/breakfast/bakery/lunch spots I stopped into in the immediate area. Theme is French country, with lots of unfinished wood cabinetry. Up front is a bread/pastry case that looked amazing. Fairly open space, plenty of seating for parties of 1 to 4 people. Nice menu which I thought was not over the top in terms of price . Quite a touristy spot when I visited. Table service. Coffee served in a single serve pot you pour into your handle-less cup, - nice touch. Nice wait staff. Easy to carry on conversation, not hustled out the door, good spot to meet. Enjoyed the food and selection.

I’m here on a vacation in New York and this is my go-to coffee and breakfast place for every morning. The coffee is fantastic and the food is incredible as well. The best part is the atmosphere at this cafe. It literally takes you back to France, with a pleasant and soothing ambiance. A perfect spot to come alone to work or just relax with a book. The service is amazing and quick!
